Once youve accepted a quotation and want to move forward, prototyping may be the next step in your product development process. With metal injection molding, prototyping is virtually identical to actual production. The only differences lie in the injection tool. For prototyping purposes we may suggest a soft tool with a single injection cavity. Alternatively, a simplified tool can be used in combination with post-machining to produce a accurate prototype. Both of these approaches will reduce cost and speed evaluation.

Costs
Soft tools with a single injection cavity are 50-60%
less expensive than a hard, multi-cavity production tool.
